Trekeekalpaca is a family business based in Cornwall. We are passionate about our herd of around 20 alpacas, who roam freely about our paddocks and who really do rule the roost! Most of the luxury products on this site are woven and spun directly from their fleece.
Alpaca wool – organic luxury
Alpacas only produce one fleece each year and although they have a colour range of 22 natural shades, each product of course will have its own individual hue, giving it a touch of uniqueness. Which all goes to show that organic clothing can be luxurious too!
Often compared to cashmere, alpaca fleece products are lighter than traditional wool yet just as warm. They are also non-allergenic, so ideal for those who are allergic to sheep wool. Alpaca accessories are an ideal gift for the frequent traveler.
Supporting UK traditional businesses
We strive to support local businesses in the UK wherever possible. Our fleece is spun in Cornwall and woven into fabric in Wales. The alpaca hand chrochet ponchos are sourced directly from Lima , Peru, aiding workers in that part of the world too.
